Sheza is a registered QH mare that is 14 years old and stands 15 hands. She is a daughter of the "Invester".She is from Seattle Washington and Pam brought her. She was a all around show horse that specialized in western pleasure for 4_H. She goes English also. She is great on the trail, great ground manners, can clip, bathe and loads well. We recommend her for someone that wants to get into 4 H or youth open shows. She is also a good family candidate for trails, roads etc. She does not act "marey".
Now this is one of the nicest horses to come to Tonkawood. His disposition is almost perfect. Apple is 11 years old and stands 15 hands. You can ride this horse anywhere without a bridle. He is safe, sound and just a joy to work around and ride. We have had him over every test we can think of and he has passed with flying colors. We love his ground manners as nothing seems to bother him. This would make anyone a safe good looking horse that you would be proud to ride and own. We recommend him for any rider. He has done feedlot work, and ranch work.
Honey (Hobos Black Bueno, 3512294 )is a gentle beautiful registered 12 year old Dunn Quarter Horse. He is a safe, nice horse that stands 15 hands. He has done ranch work and feedlot work. This horse is a real people pleaser and loves to do his job. His disposition is so quiet that we recommend him for any rider. He is a great trail horse and has a good mind. He loads, is good for the farrier, loves a bath, stands tied to the trailer or a tree, and just a general beautiful nice ranch type horse that would suit any rider. He would make a wonderful fall trail riding horse that can go anywhere for miles. He is not afraid of cars, dogs, etc. He has a good handle and a good stop from doing his ranch work.
Dusty is a beautiful registered Paint Dunn. His color and his disposition are really beautiful. Dusty will go either English or Western. He is a safe horse and has some great potential for dressage work in the English world, or a wonderful safe trail horse. His ability to go on the trail, take a child safely around the ring, yet has the grace and beauty to do some fancy English work. He will take a little fence over English also. We love the versatility of this horse. Dusty would make a great 4 H horse.
Now if you want the cutest horse and ad perfect safety, meet Dorothy. Dorothy is a beautiful quarter horse mare that is in perfect shape, can trail ride, go on down the road and is safe for anyone to ride. She has a great handle, is good on the ground, safe for anyone to ride. This little mare is 18 years old and stands 14 3. She is in perfect shape and has many many years to serve a family, children or anyone that wants a good ride. Her handle is great, has a good stop, clips, loads like a dream and great for the farrier. This is a safe beautiful mare. *I personally ride my 23 year old horse that I love, and the safety, soundness and experience of my horse is wonderful. * note from Pat I recommend Dorothy for anyone that wants a good safe ride. She is well trained and will go a good lick, but will rate back and go slow and quiet if you want.
Sparky is an 8 year old 14 3 gelding that is a wonderful trail horse. He is extremely easy going and just wants to get along. He has a nice slow jog and a slow lope. His neck reining is wonderful and he wants to please his rider. He is a chunky model that is great for anyone to ride. His ground manners are very good and he will clip, tie anywhere, and loves a bath. We recommend him for any rider. This horse is a great family horse that you would not be afraid to put the neighbor or friend on to go for a ride. This horse has a great heart and is not afraid of anything. He is safe and fun to ride, yet has a great mind and will "do cows". (sale pending)
We have sold this wonderful horse to the Rivera family. This is one of the best horses we have had at Tonkawood. Because of the bad blood between horses they have reliantly decided to offer him for sale. We completely recommend this horse. Please call them for information. This is one of the great prison horse that came from the Texas prison system. He is wonderful.
Hello Pat,
Here is a current picture of Big Brown (I think your daughter was calling him Lone Star when we picked him up). Anyway, Louie said you were going to help us sell him and to send a current picture.
He and Louie’s other rope horse are still not getting along – he really wants to be with the others, but Nasty just will not let it happen. I truly do not want either of them to get a knee blown out or worse.
Since we have had him, I have taught him about wearing a fly mask – the flies were really making his eye water and goop up – and I taught him about that in about 5 minutes – now he stands for me to put it on. He is such a wonderful horse to be around. He recently went to the vet the be checked out, get shots, have is sheath cleaned, had blood draw to check his general health and kidney/liver function – all healthy there, all is good. He was just trimmed and new shoes on the front.
Let me know if you need anything else. I would appreciate if you can help me find him a really great home.
Thank you,
Bonnie Rivera
